The witch, the devil, the ultimate love story

I was given this book as a beta reader in exchange for an honest review. Yes, I am a little slow about getting it up but here it is. This book was probably even better than the Twilight series. There isn’t anything bad I can say about this book. I loved it from page one. It starts off intense and doesn’t let up. Serenity is an 18 year old high school student from New Jersey, who is trying to figure out who she is. She tries to find out from her mother but her mother just pushes her notions out the window and tries to let Serenity know that they are just in her head. Serenity has come into contact with what most people believe to be a myth, the Jersey Devil. Little does she know that her decision to open her heart to what she thinks is a loner boy is going to change her life forever.

Sam. OMG! Sam! If I was 18 again, I would definitely see myself trying to date this type of boy. This guy is everything a girl wants. He protective, a gentlemen, spontaneous, funny, and easy to love. He finds himself falling in love with Serenity when he rescues her from the Devil however, the secret he is hiding could hinder the relationship he is trying to establish with Serenity. While the townspeople believe that the Jersey Devil is a myth, a fun little ghost story, Serenity and Sam and even Serenity’s mother know the truth and the curse behind it all.

Can Sam and Serenity remove the curse before it is too late or are they going to lose themselves?

‘You have been chosen’

Where to start with this book? This is the first book that I have read by Chapman, and at first I was a little frustrated because it felt like thw book was jumping too much between characters. However, the book came together beautifully.
Reverend Wallace is the local priest in a little town called Barbra. His assistant Iain is a little behind on where he should be mentally but works perfectly for the priest and takes pride in the work he does for the church. Then you have Ditch, a man not from Barra but ends up there by accident. Brian who is a military man to the T who loses his recruits to the hell that has brought upon this little town. Lisa the town Librarian. Mia who is a former U.S Marine on assignment to protect her charge. Sutherland who is a stock broker in Scotland on vacation or so he says. Amy, who witnessed her brother getting murdered by her own parents after what was supposed to be a night at church for prayer. And finally Malachi (not sure on the spelling.). This guy is a fallen angel that wallace summoned to bring the rapture to this little townand convinced the town folks that God had chosen them for His tasks.
This entire book had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see if Amy would crack, if Mia would die, if they would all make it out alive.
when I realized I had finished the book I was so unhappy because I want to know what happens next. I cannot rave about this book enough. I look forward to reading more of his work.
